Woodrow Wilson High School has a rich tradition of musical theater and may be able to stake a claim as the home of high school musicals in Texas, producing its first, Best Foot Forward, in 1943. The East Dallas community comes together each year to ensure the Woodrow musical is a success.
That’s why fairy tales really do come true on the Woodrow Wilson Performing Arts stage. Join us for a magical journey “Into the Woods” for a whimsical Wildcat performance featuring all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and a Witch, and many more, in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
A red cape, a strand of golden hair, a golden shoe, and a white cow. It's these four items that send The Baker and his Wife through the woods on a magical journey to reverse a spell. They wish for a child and are sent by a witch on a magical scavenger hunt. Fairytale favorites soon join the mix, on this twisting tale of love, loss, wishes and adventure.
It will be another unforgettable performance of song and dance, featuring colorful costumes and impressive sets, as our talented thespians take you on a unique once-upon-a-time journey you will never forget.
