Hey, Space Fanatics: A Celebration of the Moon Landing Will Soon Hit the UTA Planetarium

A one-of-a-kind teaching, learning, and special-occasion space, The University of Texas at Arlington Planetarium hosts public shows and events, private field trips, private parties, and—yes—the opportunity to look up at the sky in awe again. The UTA planetarium is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing with the "Mooniversary," an all-day event hosted both inside and outside the planetarium.

For centuries, humankind has looked to the sky for inspiration, connection, and a better understanding of our place in the universe. In today’s increasingly urbanized world, where the lights of big cities can drown out even our closest constellations, it’s more important than ever to find a way to access that innate sense of wonder we all feel when taking in the moon and the stars. Uncover all that, and so much more, at UTA Planetarium.

We will have four regular shows in the planetarium, these include both a live star talk, as well as a show. Additionally, we will have 3 mini-shows including "The Missions of Apollo" (a custom show covering the missions up to Apollo 12), "Moon Myths and Misconceptions" (also a custom show surrounding fun myths about the Moon), and an Apollo Trivia game in the dome.
Come visit us and discover the universe!

We know you love your home at Vail Village Club Apartments in Dallas, Texas, but it’s important to stay active and involved in your community. Attending this event is the perfect chance for you to journey outside your comfort zone to meet new people and seek new opportunities.
