The New Texas Symphony Orchestra - the premier community orchestra of Dallas - celebrates the fantastic fans of science fiction, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, as well as the upcoming December release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, on Sunday, November 6, 3:00 p.m., at the Dallas City Performance Hall.
Although many symphony orchestras have performed selections and even dedicated entire concerts based on the music from various Star Wars and Star Trek movies, the upcoming New Texas Symphony Orchestra concert is unique because of its primary emphasis on the fans themselves.
USS Joshua is the Dallas/Fort Worth area's oldest, largest, and most active club for fans of Star Trek, Stargate, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Dr. Who, Farscape, Star Wars, Babylon 5, and all manner of Science Fiction and related genres.
