Celebrate Girl Groups of the 1960s with This Live Performance of “Dreamgirls”

Need a supreme musical pick-me-up? Look no further than Dallas Theater Center’s production of “Dreamgirls,” the much-loved Motown musical that pays tribute to the powerhouse girl groups that changed the landscape of pop music in the 1960s. The story is drawn loosely from the stormy but productive relationship between The Supremes and Berry Gordy, but it also throws in a little love for Aretha and Etta and the entire era of glittery, girly vocal triumph.

“Dreamgirls” lays on the sequins, songs and bright lights during its run at the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Wyly Theatre, 2400 Flora Street, beginning with a pay-what-you-can performance at 8 p.m. Friday. Additional performances continue through Sunday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sundays.

At Vail Village Apartments in Dallas, Texas, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
